ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Hello my name is Don Bracker the owner of Bracker's Fine Jewelry. I am a Graduate Gemologist,GIA.. I am writing this guide to help you care for your Native American Jewelry. I have been selling Native American Jewelry for about 33 years both part and full time. I went full time, about 13 years ago. I had my own fine jewelry (brick) store for six years, and decided to close down over a lease renewal contract problem. In this guide I will attempt to address questions, that I have been asked throughout my many years of selling Native American Jewelry.
Welcome Brackers' Fine Jewelry's Care Guide

At Bracker's we have a vast inventory of authentic Native American Jewelry from the Navajo, Hopi and Zuni tribes. We have a great deal of experience in the care of Jewelry, and we want to share it with you. All of the tips here apply to Authentic Sterling Silver Jewelry. The gemstones can be cabochons, or chip inlay. The stones that are covered here are Turquoise, Coral, Mother of Pearl, Hematite,Lapis Lazuli, Malachite, Pink Mother of Pearl, Jet, Onyx, Amethyst, Garnet,Opal,Carnelian, Blue Paula Shell, and Abalone to mention a few. It is important to remember that some of the above stones can be placed into a ultrasonic, but the way they are set can cause problems. Gemstones that are "bezel" set (like the above bracelet) into rings, bracelets, earrings or pendants must NEVER be placed ultrasonic. Amethyst and Garnet (for example) can be placed into a ultrasonic when only prong, bead, or tension set. If your not sure, ask your local jeweler. Most Jewelers are very willing to help you maintain your jewelry in tip top condition.,
